Le 22 décembre 2022, le ministère de l’Agriculture et de la Souveraineté alimentaire (MASA) a lancé un plan d’action vaccination contre l’influenza aviaire hautement pathogène (IAHP). Son objectif est de permettre une vaccination effective des volailles à l’automne 2023 si toutes les conditions sont réunies.

Les acteurs mobilisés pour la mise en œuvre de ce plan d’action sont : l’administration, les établissements publics impliqués (Anses, Agence nationale du médicament vétérinaire, École nationale vétérinaire de Toulouse), les interprofessions du secteur avicole, les représentants de la profession vétérinaire et de l’industrie du médicament vétérinaire.

 

À ce jour, plusieurs grandes étapes du plan d’action ont déjà été franchies : les rapports concernant l’expérimentation vaccinale menée en France sur des canards mulards sont parus ; à la suite d’un appel d’offres lancé le 17 avril pour obtenir 80 millions de doses de vaccins, un premier contrat a été signé ; et le scénario de vaccination définitif a été approuvé.

On 22 December 2022, the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty (MASA) launched an action plan on vaccination against Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). Its objective is to enable effective vaccination of poultry in autumn 2023 if all the conditions have been met.

The actors involved in implementing this action plan are as follows: the government administration, relevant public entities (ANSES, French Agency for Veterinary Medicinal Products, National Veterinary School at Toulouse), the interbranch trade bodies in the poultry farming industry and representatives of the veterinary profession and the veterinary medicines industry.

To date, several major milestones in the action plan have already been reached: the reports on the vaccination trials conducted in France on Mulard ducks have been published, and following a call for tenders issued on 17 April for the supply of 80 million vaccine doses, an initial contract has been signed and the definitive vaccination scenario has been approved.
